Title: The Google Page Rank: Tidying Up the Web with Eigenvalues
Abstract:
Google is by far one of the most successful search engines. What is the key feature of the search algorithm? In this presentation we will see how a simple eigenvalue algorithm can rank webpages and help Google give relevant results to web queries. The presentation is based on the paper "The PageRank Citation Ranking: Bringing Order to the Web," written by Page and Brin, the founders of Google.
