How do I mount the drive on another Windows machine to this Windows machine?
The process is very similar to mounting a Unix directory. Just follow these steps:
-
Launch Windows Explorer.
-
Under "Tools", select "Map Network Drive". In a few seconds, a listing of the computers on the network should appear.
-
A default drive will appear in the drive listbox. You can change the drive letter if you wish. Once the directory is mounted, all references to your Unix directory will be to this drive letter.
-
In the "Shared Directories" listing, double click on the machine you wish to mount.
-
Double click on the drive letter you wish to mount.
-
You may be prompted for a login and password. If so, enter them and then press the "OK" button.
You have now mounted the drive on another Windows machine to the drive letter you selected in step 3.
