Faramarz Fekri received Ph.D. degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2000. Since 2000, Dr. Fekri has been
with the faculty of the School of ECE at the Georgia Institute of Technology where he currently holds a Professor position.
He serves on the Technical Program Committees of several IEEE conferences. In the past, he was on the editorial board
of the IEEE Transactions on Communications, and the Elsevier Journal on PHYCOM.

Prof. Fekri's current research interests are in the area of communications and signal processing, in particular coding and
information theory, data and network compression, molecular communication, recommender systems, wireless and
sensor networks, and security of communication and information networks.
